To a certain degree sacredness is in the eye of the beholder / Act III

Act III takes place in the framework of the Athens & Epidaurus Festival’s visual arts programme. Eighty-one years after the journey of the modernists in Athens, the evolving project ‘To a certain degree sacredness is in the eye of the beholder’ is presented as an expansive installation within the industrial building of Peiraios 260. The project consists of the sculptural works whose placement in space creates an almost fictional landscape. Within that “landscape” three sound performances from commisioned experimental music duos take place. Finally, an excerpt of the film Architect’s Congress by László Moholy-Nagy enables access to that very physical moment of the arrival of the modernists in Greece, creating an archival setting for an almost futuristic journey.
